Immigrants Help U.S. Business; H-1B Cap a Threat

Immigrants in the U.S. from 1990-2005 founded 25 percent of all public venture-backed companies and about 40 percent of the high-technology start-ups operating today, according to a study issued recently by the Arlington, Va.-based National Venture Capital Association.

Immigrant-founded or co-founded companies achieved a market capitalization of more than $500 billion in the 15-year period.
